Fort Hills Bitumen Demonstration Plant

Ledcor’s continued presence in the oil sands construction process consists of earthwork and the construction of the required infrastructures to support the mining and processing operations of the bitumen plant. The work included stripping of the overburden in the pit area, upgrade and rehabilitation of existing haul roads and the installation of berms where required.

Shell Albian Sands Jackpine Mine Site Development

This muskeg removal/grading and surface drainage contract included site development consisting of the stripping and stockpiling of muskeg and rough site grading for the new camp and extractions areas. This project also included the establishment of a surface drainage system consisting of settlement ponds along with inlet/outlet structures, perimeter and collection ditches, as well as finger ditches.
