Building Networks

Ledcor holds a place in history for building communications networks in North America.

Highlights include:

  • the first full rate FTTP-GPON network in North America;
  • the first coast to coast competitive fiber optic network in Canada which we then further developed to a 65,000 km (41,000 mile) network across North America;
  • the first 8,000 mile next generation Trans-Atlantic self-healing ring cable system with landfalls in the U.S., Canada and Europe; and
  • the first undersea cable connecting Alaska to the contiguous United States.

This commitment to innovation continues with our customers today and is emboldened by our institutional knowledge. We have built networks in every corner of the continent - from Alaska to Louisiana to California to Nova Scotia. The projects have proceeded through all the forces of Mother Nature including inclement weather and challenging topographies. And we’ve worked with every level of decision maker to get the projects done.

We really do commit all of our strengths to our customer’s success.
